Barbara was my true love, my best friend, a great Mom and grandmother. Barbara loved our community, fighting for as a parent leader for the children in District 17 in Brooklyn and traveling all around the city and state as a member of New York Communities for Change. 16 years ago I was blessed to meet Barbara. She was loving and caring and understanding and fought for everyone.
Barbara passed away September 3rd after battling cancer. She did not have life insurance so we are asking for people to donate to raise money for funeral costs. The viewing and funeral is this Thursday, September 15 at Full Gospel Assembly of God Church at 131 Sullivan Place, Brooklyn. Viewing starts 4 with the service starting at 7pm.
The funeral costs are $5,500 so any donations would be greatly appreciated, especially before Thursday's funeral.
