Hi, my name is Barbara J Hernandez. I will be 69 years old at the end of February.

I have Chronic Severe Emphysema and as of October 2023 I was placed on 24/7 oxygen therapy. I live in a very modest single-wide trailer in the desert in San Diego County California.

I purchased my trailer back in 2021 so all I pay for is my lot rent, wifi, electricity, propane and a monthly membership fee. These items alone are much more than I receive in Social Security every month.

I no longer drive so I don't own a vehicle. My only means of transportation around the park that I live in is by golf cart. I use it for everything. I use it to take my trash to the dumpster and to take my laundry back and forth to the laundry room. I use it to go to the events here in the park. My golf cart is "my life"; without it I am lost.

The batteries in my cart went bad a week ago and I do not have the resources to replace them. Any funds raised above the cost of the batteries and amount to pay to have them installed will be used for other items and repairs that the golf cart needs to bring it up to satisfactory condition. It will take 6 batteries, battery cables and a charger (see photo below).

Proof of my resources is available to anyone who feels the need to verify that what I'm saying is true.

would definitely appreciate any help anyone could possibly give me.
