Barbara Yniguez Gibson

Hi, my name is David Gibson and I am Barbara's oldest son. We are raising money to help support producing one of the most wonderful Celebration's of Life in honor my wonderful mother who touched so many lives. We are doing this incredible event at Five Suns Brewing located at 626 Main Street in Martinez, California from 11am-3pm and expecting anywhere from 200-300+ people in attendance. As we are hosting the rental of the event space as well as a hosted beer and wine bar, we humbly ask for any donations that you would like to contribute to assist us in support of this wonderful event.

As many of you may be aware, Barbara had been battling pancreatic cancer for the last 18 months with a vibrant positivity and fierce focus on the future. She had fought an amazing fight and had overcome many speedbumps along the way. The cancer had recently metastasized and taken a strong hold over her body. Barbara chose to continue her hospice care at home with direct care from her sister Nony and support from the hospice team. Her family was by her side and continued to be there for every step of her journey.

Thank you for all of your support and love through this process; we continually were inundated with love coming from every angle.

Our Barbara left her earthly body at 4:50am on Thursday, October 12th. Thank you for all your hugs and beautiful words of love. I'm sure all the heartfelt love energy supported her through her peaceful transition. Her passing is such a huge loss for all of us.

We are all very excited to get together will all friends and family of Barbara's to share stories, laughs, and support one another. There will be a PA setup so those that are inclined will be able to speak, and we will have a slideshow of memories on both a downstairs television and upstairs projector. Wine and beer will be provided and a food truck, Ceviche & Co, will be available offering their food for purchase a la carte.
