Barbara Satter Doubler Lefkowitz Funeral & Legacy

On February 17, 2021 my twin sister, Barbara Satter Doubler Lefkowitz was called home. Following a potentially fatal diagnosis 26 years ago, Barb made a deal with God asking God to let her be an angel here on Earth instead of up there. She fulfilled her promise with unconditional love, tenacity and a wild flair that only Barb could create. She was a beacon of light attracting people from all over the world. She was always ready to help, hug or just hang out. Her life story spans many 'lifetimes' from Miami to Jamaica. Barb's final year in Negril, Jamaica was her self-proclaimed BEST year ever spent checking off bucket list items, and helping neighbors and friends during difficult pandemic circumstances while chilling out with Thunder, her partner of 30 years.

We've started this GoFundMe campaign to reduce funeral and family travel expenses, plan a celebration of Barb's life in true Barbara Style and erect a memorial in Negril, Jamaica to honor her life! We will also create an Angel Fund as a tribute to her legacy to continue her tradition of unconditional loving and giving.
