Barbara Lee's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
I was hospitalized for the last 4 weeks and was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. The doctor suspected a tumor at the base of my pancreas. This lead me to an exciting siren filled ride from Santa Rosa to downtown San Francisco, where a team of specialists were waiting to operate on me. Once it was confirmed that my vital signs were strong enough, they opened me up, like a zipper on some tight jeans. After a few painful and stressful days, we confirmed that the surgeon removed the bulk of the tumor. Great news! The road to recovery is now under way.
Back home with my loyal companions at my side, the slow process has commenced. I will undergo both chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the next eight weeks to ensure we have stopped the cancerous growth.
While I recover and kick some cancer-ass, I will need all of your support to sustain myself financially.
I cannot tell you how much this means to me. From the bottom of my heart, much graditude and appreciation for all of your continued support.
I hope to be back in the saddle within the next couple of months.
Much love to all.
