On Saturday May 20th an angel took flight…. Our beloved Barbara Jorgenson passed away after a long and brave battle with cancer. Many of you who knew Barbara remember her as one who devoted many years of her life as part of the Southern California hockey community.
Barbara, a single mother, left behind a loving family. Daughters Bridget Hopkinson and Melissa Lloyd, three grandchildren – Justin, Nathan and Lexi, and a dear cousin Ralph Anderson who was by Barbara’s side caring for her during her long travail.
Astronomical medical bills have put an extreme burden on Barbara’s family and we are building this GO FUND ME page on their behalf. It is a time for reaching out to caring individuals like you to make the ultimate assist toward a goal for those we care about.
Please take a moment to do something for Barbara and her family. In hockey, our culture stresses – “it’s all about the team.” Hockey people live their lives for others this way.
