Just under one year ago, Barb was in a car crash that lead her to a hospital check-up. During that check-up, the doctors noticed something unusual about Barb's left lung. After further review and testing, they found that she had an unsettling mass.

Immediately, they began rounds of chemotherapy to reduce the size of the mass. The mass reduction is important as they plan to surgically remove it, but can only do so if it shrinks significantly in size. Barbara Jean has gone through several rounds of chemo now, and is looking at more before they plan to perform the surgery.

Since that time, Barb has had to reduce her working hours to make time for the treatments, and qualify for medical assistance. Unfortunately, Barb's bills have remained the same, and are adding further strain to an already stressful situation.

As her friends, family, coworkers, and tribe, lets rally together for a woman who has journeyed well alongside each of our stories. Whether she's blessed you with her downhome cooking, made you laugh until you were crying, or annoyed the shit out of you 'til you submitted to her playful character, we've all been impacted positively by this amazing friend. Let's rally and care for her well too!
