This is my beautiful mother, Barbara Harris. Mom is loved by everyone who knows her, and is deeply loved by her family. She has always been a fighter and was able to beat breast cancer 3 times over an 18 year span. After her last battle with breast cancer in 2018, she had been cancer free for a year and half. Unfortunately, she has been recently diagnosed  with terminal stage 4 cervical squamous cell carcinoma. It is very aggressive and mom only has months to live. She is currently back home with her family on Hospice care and is being cared for primarily by my dad and younger brother.

Mom mostly sleeps throughout the entire day now, but just a few days ago she was worried about the costs my family would endure after her passing. The last few years have been very hard financially for my parents, and we just learned that mom has no life insurance. This creates a worry on my dad, when he should only be focusing on mom right now. That is why I have created this GoFundMe page. I would like to try to help my dad give my mom a proper celebration of life. She has no plot, funeral costs are high, and all the other expenses that go into final arrangements are beyond our means. 

Mom is an amazing woman who loves her family immensely, including her only granddaughter who graduated from high school and turned 18 just this week. Sadly, mom missed those two milestones.  watching her life slip slowly away is the most painful thing we have had to endure. We feel helpless and felt we needed to turn to others to assist us in mom's final arrangements when that day comes.
