Barbara Harris Mills Memorial
Donation protected
I am Jeffery Harris the younger brother of my dear sister Barbara Harris Mills who passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021.
Barbara truly lived her life with a passion for helping others. Her desire was to improve people's lives for the rest of their lives. She would walk through life's struggles with them, helping them navigate through all it's pitfalls. She believed that we are not our trials and tribulations or the past; but that we are here now with the power to form our future.
Barbara really left an impact like no other on the countless people she helped and counseled. Her embodiment of generosity, compassion and love for others was felt by all.
She was a strong woman of faith who lived her life according to 1 Timothy 6: 17-19
'Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.' NIV
We feel Barbara left too soon, her work wasn't done. She leaves behind a community who aches from her unexpected exit, including her three grandchildren, Trey, Trevor, and Trevaun. After the senseless murder of her only child, Tiffany, Barbara directed her energy into caring for her children. Her precious "jewels” were the world to her, and it was part of her life’s mission to provide them with a beautiful existence amidst all their grief. We will strive to continue her life's work and ask for donations instead of flowers for the assistance of the three grandchildren that are still here with us.
