Everyone who knows my mom knows she’s literally just the best human, mom, and grandma. She has a huge heart and is always finding the good in people and in every situation. For years, she devoted herself to working with shelter dogs, especially those with behavioral challenges that made them hard to place. Because of her patience, compassion, and dedication, countless dogs found their forever homes.

Recently, my mom was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects muscle function. We’re still navigating what this means for her and what her medical care will look like moving forward. Sadly, she’s had to step away from her work with the dogs for now while focusing on her health.

We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help support her during this time. Donations will go toward her comfort, support, and care, including things like adaptive equipment, mobility aids, home adjustments, and resources that will help maintain her quality of life.
