Barbara & Bob Rose RV Accident

Donation protected
Hello Family and Friends,
On November 3rd my parents were in a horrible RV accident on Interstate 40 near Kingman, Arizona. They were returning home from their final RV trip, putting the motor home up for sale, and retiring from the RV life which they loved dearly and were very active in. On their return home, the front tire of the Motorcoach blew, thew them into and over the guardrail, and down a 40’ embankment. The Motorcoach and Jeep towed behind rolled multiple times and are both a total loss. Multiple good Samaritans stopped by and helped them and the family dog until Medical help arrived. They were both airlifted to Las Vegas into separate hospitals. By the grace of god and multiple guardian angels, Bob’s injuries were not life threatening or critical, just lots of bumps, bruises, and cuts. He was able to check out of the hospital and rejoin my mother and be by her side while she began to recover from her injuries. As a result, from being ejected from the vehicle, her injuries included a fractured vertebra, fractured fibula, severe laceration around her lower leg, head laceration, cracked kneecap and countless bumps, bruises, and cuts.
The good news is they are both alive and recovering.
Most of Mom’s injuries are healing well, but the left leg laceration was so severe, it required multiple surgeries to clean and repair the wound. Infection set in and created an additional level of complication and delay to her recovery. 30 days after the accident the infection was in control, her leg was amputated to stop the spread of the infection. She looked great after the amputation, but the infection returned and trying to spread again. She was battling the infection when she got pneumonia, and has been placed on a ventilator.
It has been nearly 45 days since the accident. Medical bills will be astounding, but the additional cost for lodging and meals for Bob and the family to stay near the hospital in Las Vegas has been an unaccounted expense and an additional financial burden. Having family close by is critical for Mom’s Emotional state and directly affects her physical recovery. A recent exposure to COVID led to most of her support team being placed in Quarantine and unavailable to visit the hospital, including Bob.
Please keep her in your prayers. If you feel inclined to help financially, we set up a go fund me account to help them with all the additional expenses they will encounter with all the items needed for her recovery post hospitalization or the next steps God has in plan for her. Thank you again for your prayers and I will try to keep you updated on her progress.

Thank you,
Teri Tyson
