Barb's Boobs:They need your support

On 8/31/17 my sister Barb was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer.  Since her diagnosis, she has been fighting the painful journey of chemotherapy and corresponding treatments.  Her treatments will not be complete until September 27th.  She recently started the Livestrong program at the YMCA to build back the strength she has lost.  She invited me to join her in a Dragon Boat race on Half Moon lake in Eau Claire WI on August 4, 2018.  The boat will be filled with mostly cancer survivors, a couple currently being treated (my sister) and a couple of family members (my son Kole and me).  I am so proud of her for participating in this event since she is still struggling in the middle of treatment and recovery.  I am excited to be able to sit by her side while she proves to herself how strong she can be.  

When registering for the boat race, there was an option to have a fundraising page.  It made me ask her where the money would be going?  She said it would be going to the cancer center in Eau Claire.  I totally understand donations need to be made to these centers, but when I know she has been struggling to pay off accumulated medical bills, I felt fundraising for her directly would be a better solution.  If you would like to donate towards my goal I would really appreciate your generosity.  Please think about us on August 4th when we are rowing in the dragon boat!!
