Barb Mares Recovery Fund
Donation protected
As many of you know, Barb Mares is forever giving to all that know her. She has dedicated her life to helping others and openly supports and accepts everyone that she meets. She is the founder and volunteers her time as the chairperson for the Kansas Chapter for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Barb now needs the help and support.
The Sunday after Thanksgiving, we found Barb after suffering from a ruptured brain aneurysm. Barb spent several weeks at Research Hospital in ICU and the neuro floor while undergoing an angiogram with a coil to stop the rupture. Barb also required a brain shunt to alleviate the pressure on her brain. The doctors have told her only 15% of people survive this type of rupture and of that 15%, only 40% fully recover. Barb is a strong, amazing woman. She is expected to make a full recovery.
We are very fortunate to watch Barb continuously improve and would love to help her fully heal while relieving her extra stess. Barb started a new job right before her aneurysm. However she learned today that she lost that job. It will take time for her to recover enough to be able to start her job hunt.
We are asking for assistance to help with Barb's living expenses, medical insurance and medical bills while she heals. Anything that anyone can give is fully appreciated.
