My name is Eileen Hagin Wormser and I and my family are raising funds to help out our brother in law Marc, in his time of need.

On October 16, our sister, Barb Hagin, passed away less than eight weeks after her very sudden and courageous battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Barb was the epitome of light, love and laughter. Her warmth was felt for miles. From her home state of New Jersey to her time in San Francisco and the Silicon Valley, working alongside some of the biggest tech companies, she touched everyone she encountered and had an innate ability to connect people. Everyone who knew her has a special memory of Barb that will last a lifetime.

Twenty-seven years ago, Barb married the love of her life - Marc Marcotte - on the beaches of St. John. She and Marc were proud puppy parents to their beloved Myles. This trio truly enjoyed life together through backpacking trips, camping adventures, jaunts to wine country, brunches in San Francisco and more. To say Barb’s passing leaves a huge hole in Marc and Myles’ lives is a profound understatement.

Barb was cremated and celebrations of life (on both the East and West Coasts) will be planned for October 2026. Ahead of that Marc – and Myles where possible – will bring Barb back to all of her favorite places including St. John, the California back country, Sonoma/Napa and of course New Jersey. Many of you have asked how you can help – we are setting up this GoFundMe for Marc to not only celebrate Barb’s life but also help ease the unforeseen challenges that come in the wake of such a profound loss, and to ensure he is supported for whatever he needs during this dark and difficult time. Funds will be used directly to support memorial plans while helping Marc stabilize and rebuild his life in this new and tender chapter.
