Hi everyone! I know that you have probably seen me raising funds for a couple of families in the past but, I have another that is very close to my heart. Ben, Victoria, and Marleigh Barak were in Florida for a family vacation when on August 20th they were hit by a drunk driver. Marleigh is only 3 days younger than my daughter and luckily is ok! Thank god for car seat advancements. Unfortunately Ben and Victoria were not as lucky. Ben was hospitalized for 2 days with surgery and 3 weeks later Victoria is still hospitalized and unable to walk or move from her bed. She has had to have several surgeries including her femur, hip, wrist, and ankle. The doctors think that she will make a full recovery but she has a long road ahead. Victoria and Ben were conscious while their daughter screamed and they had to use the jaws of life to get them out. They are unsure when they will even be able to make it home to Michigan. I can only imagine the trauma that this accident has caused their family and I would like to try and lessen at least one burden for them.
