Hi. I’m Bao Bao. I was homeless and hungry on the streets of Beijing. I was so sad. I missed my mama and I was always hungry. Somehow my tail got chopped off and my leg was broken. I’ve been running around with a broken legs for a long time. There are always many other homeless dogs around me. I’m just a little girl , so I had to be carful not to get attacked.  Also , I would have to hide when I saw the police come around because they would take us dogs away and off the streets. They said they were cleaning up the streets, but everyone knows they kill them. I am little so I can hide. I was hiding in the grass one day and I saw some people taking a family of mama, papa and two babies and put them in a van. I watched them go one by one back and forth. I wished I had a family and I realized they were rescuing them, so I ran after them and tugged at their feet for them to take me too.  I was saying “save me too. Just one more ! I’m small. I can fit in your van. “ They didn’t understand what I was saying because they don’t speak dog, but they knew my desperation. This was my only chance.  China is a big place for a little dog like me and it’s not every day compassionate dog rescuers come your  way.  They took heart with me and tossed me in the van. Now they flew me to USA so I can get my broken leg fixed. Having surgery today and will recover at my fosters house. I am very happy now. I just need my leg fixed and to be spayed later and have medicine. I love my rescuers   I feel so lucky. 
❤️We are a non profit rescue. Animalofworldfoundation.org. We get some donations , but mostly we pay for out of our own pockets so we are trying to raise money for Bao Bao to have surgery. We rescue dogs from the streets of Beijing mainly. Many of them have broken legs or large gashes and no tails and so we save one or as many as we can at a time and send them to USA and get them medical treatment. Bao Bao has surgery today approximately $1530 plus needs spay  and 4 extractions teeth and Medicine. Any extra will go to help the next dog.  The surgery was actually $4000 and Dr Paul gave us a discount to make it $1500.  I am a volunteer and animal activist and am raising funds for Animal of World Foundation for this little dog Bao Bao. This division of Animal of World Foundation rescues  homeless and abused dogs from the streets of China. Mainly Beijing. Thank you
