Banshees story

Hi, I'm Arielle. And I'd like to tell a story that resonates with all animal lovers, especially those that hold the love of horses close to their heart.
On the 16th of April, 2025, I recieved frantic messages from a dear friend that her most recent family edition, a bay off the track throughbred gelding named Banshee, was colicing.
Banshee, with a fitting wide love heart under his forlock, had been with Char for a short period of 3 months.
During that time, Char, like she does with all her horses, poured every ounce of time and monies slowly bringing this young and fresh gelding up to condition.
Banshee was doing well up until this point. Slowly, with the right diet, body work, horse friends, and ultimately love, this young horse was flourishing into a strong and bright gelding, ready to start the next chapter of his life with Char.
Within hours of colicing, having been see by two different vets, Banshee landed in a local south eastern vet hospital, with hopes that early and agressive treatment would save his life.
Unfortunately, the vets called within several hoursand delivered Char the bad news. Racing down to the hospital, Char arrived to a horse literally waiting for her so she could be with him until his last breath.
I've known Char since we were young teenagers. She has been my rock coming back into horse ownership as an adult. She has been there to acknowledging and supporting me through every little hiccup, from being an overzealous worried horse mum to the highs of little inconsequntial achievements with my own two horses.
Char herself, is the pinical of a dedicated horse owner to a fault.
No cost is too great when it comes to her own horses and others.
Within her own adult journey with horses, she has had unfortunate luck. Uncommon in the horse world, she has kept and retired her own horses due to her high standards of care. Always making sure thay they are well looked after and listened too above all else.
I have personally witnessed Char pay for farrier visits and vet appointments for other agistees when facing a tough spot of financial trouble and a sick horse.
Above all else, she is an example of what all horse owners should be.
Banshees short time with Char has left her with heartbreak and in the wake of thousands of dollars out of pocket.
Having recently just moved to an acerage property to be with her horses, this has been a hard financially time for her and her partner, with other horses and animals to care for.
In the current climate of unheard of drought conditions in Souther Vic times are tough for all horse and livestock owners.
Though she'd never ask me, I've decided to start this go fund me to help offset the costs of Banshee.
Any dollar helps, and every dollar made will go to her.
