Banks' healing journey

Hello!

It's Tori and Myles here. Our baby girl Banks was diagnosed with refractory epilepsy after only two months on the planet. At just nine months old, she’s been in and out of hospital, undergoing tests and trialing different medications for longer than any of us imagined.

We’re researching and exploring lots of different treatments, to find the root cause and support her in healing completely.

Right now, our preferred treatment options are Chiro and Osteo. Banks has shown signs of a subluxation in her spine and compression in her cranium, which have both been known to cause seizures in children. We’ll be taking her twice a week to the Gold Coast for neurological focused chiro treatment and to Byron for Osteo every other week.

We’ll also be starting Banks on the Keto diet next month which we’re really excited to try, and are working closely with a naturopath to make sure Banks' health is supported along the way.

She is incredibly patient, resilient and capable and we are all doing our best to take care of her while she navigates this inaugural life challenge.

With all the treatment, medication and travel to and from appointments, the cost has added up.

We know we have an inimitable community around us, and although hard to ask, we’d love to call on you to support our little family while we move through this.
