Banjo’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hello Friends,
Banjo has a growth in his shoulder that is causing him a lot of pain. We will be visiting an oncologist, getting a biopsy done, and results will tell us what next steps will be for his recovery.
Surgery is a likelihood. As of now my mom and I have spent roughly $4,500 in the last several months on blood work, X-rays, medication, and an emergency visit. The initial diagnosis was IVDD but emergency vet believes that was an incorrect diagnosis. Hopes were initially to try to keep his pain minimal and medication would help him make a recovery without surgery.
Yesterday he began crying out in pain. I took him to the emergency vet, and we discovered the growth had gotten larger. After pain medicine, and more imaging, we left with no good answers but he is stable on strong pain medication until we can see an oncologist for a biopsy.
Banjo is only 11 years old. His vitals, heart, bones, lungs, and kidneys are all healthy. As a small dog he has life left to live. He is eating and able to go outside. He hasn’t lost the will to live.
I’ve come to the point where I have to ask for your help. Any amount will help because as of now I have no funds left. I’ve maxed out CareCredit, and my immediate family has helped as much as they can.
Anything helps. Banjo will appreciate it. I will appreciate it and post updates on his progress as we move forward.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my best, best friend and keeping him in your thoughts.
