Banish Ted From My Head

I've had a brain tumor for the past 10 years, whom I lovingly named Ted the Too-mah (think Kindergarten Cop). He's behaved himself up until the last year and a half, when he decided to double in size. He's actually tripled in size since he was discovered in 2010. All this growing and shoving things around in my head has caused me to have trigeminal neuralgia pain, which is the worst pain I've ever had in my life. My neurosurgeon and radiology oncologist have both said Ted needs to come out and the sooner the better My insurance will pick up the bulk of the charges; however, I have deductible and out-of-pocket max amounts that I must pay up front. All of the running back and forth to doctor appointments has depleted my vacation and sick leave down to zero. Every time that I have to take off to go to another appointment or procedure costs me a day's wages.
