I brought Bandit into the emergency vet on 8/3 because he was lathargic, had pale gums, and had red/brown urine.
The tests came back as Anaplasmosis and AutoImmume Hemolytic Anemia. Many people in Waukesha know him as being happy, playful, and energetic. But he can barely stand right now. He’s my emotional support, and I don’t know what I’d do without him
Treatments are intensive and expensive, after just 24 hours, we’re at a bill of $2500. I’m a single dog mom and my job doesn’t pay much.
A little bit about Bandit: he’s super smart but also kinda dumb. He loves people and making people smile. I swear, he can tell when I’m sad and acts extra silly till I feel better. He loves being hugged. He’s an 8 year old basenji mix rescue.
Please help however you can. I’m not ready to say goodbye to my baby.
