UPDATE: We have just had confirmation from our rental company that our window replacement will cost more than we initially expected so we have increased the goal slightly to ensure we can cover incidentals which the rental company may charge us for.

Last night in Paris during the protests (and just before we went on stage) our beautiful van was smashed into and we were robbed. They only managed to take some personal items (laptops, passports, clothes etc) but this still hurts a lot. We where aware of the large protests happening in the city beforehand and had already moved our gig to a venue further away from the planned protest route. However due to the fluid nature of the protests last night the rioting quickly spread to the area around the 2nd arrondissement. Police had arrived in the area and had fired tear gas at into the protest around the corner from the venue on Rue De Montmart. We opened early to let those in the queue escape the gas which was drifting onto the street where we where parked and took shelter in the venue whilst waiting for the situation outside to calm down. However around 8:30pm we came out to discover our van had been broken into and some of our personal items stolen.

Touring is a luxury but we lose quite a lot of money doing it, even if it’s a big ‘successful’ tour. We do it because we love it and we love playing to you and meeting so many great people. Things like this make a tough job almost impossible. We’ve set up a gofundme to help the cover the costs of the damage + the stolen items.

We realise it’s a hard time for everyone, and please don’t feel pressure to give if you can’t afford to, however we would really appreciate it if you can spare even a small amount to help us cover the damage caused/replace the items stolen. Our Goal is to try and raise £2,000 to cover the stolen items (works laptop passport and drives) and replacing the window on our rental which includes cleanup etc.
