Banat Soccer Park is located at the Romanian Cultural Center in Kitchener Ontario, a non-profit organization.
This field is used by local residents and Romanian Cultural Center members alike since the mid 1990's.
Graham Marks and I have decided during this unprecedented time to try and create the best grass soccer field in the area to be used by the community and local residents. This will happen in stages.
This campaign is for the first stage. Once the goal is achieved and work has been complete we will move on to a new phase and new campaign.
First stage is to level the field with top soil and over seed leveled areas. The field will then be rolled. With no one playing this should take a month or two to catch. Expenses include top soil, grass seed, and a one (1) ton roller. We will be looking for volunteers to come out with wheel barrows and shovels to help spread the soil. Social distancing will be practiced of course.
Second Stage is to purchase new portable light weight goal nets and build player benches.
Last phase will be to get a irrigation system. This biggest cost here would be a water pump and pump house since the club is still on well water.
If all this is reached we can eventually look into field lights but lets move one step at a time.
All expense receipts will be kept and shared with anyone who asks to ensure all donated funds are used appropriately.
Thanks
Joe
