Bambisanani trip and MND fundraiser

Hi,

my name is John-Paul (JP) and I am fundraising for my trip to KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa with my sixth form St Mary’s Menston in June 2025. Alongside this, I will be supporting the Rob Burrow Motor Neurone Disease (MND) charity within Leeds Hospitals. In order to raise funds I will be training for and taking part in the Leeds half marathon this May.

The trip to KwaZulu-Natal forms part of the bambisanani partnership, a partnership my school have with Mnyakanya high school. This trip includes the opportunity for me to teach lessons and valuable skills to the children that attend Mnyakanya High School through sport and interactive lessons, hearing about their experiences annd integrating myself within their lifestyle and culture. This trip also offers the opportunity to visit the local orphanage and to provide support through donating supplies to the local community such as sports kits and stationeries to aid in schools.

I have chosen to support the Rob Burrow MND Charity as I have witnessed the devastating effects of MND on a family friend and the inspirational story of the late Rob Burrow and laudable support from Kevin Sinfield which has inspired me to undertake this fundraising event.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated in support towards this once in a lifetime trip and my efforts to support the MND charity. Many thanks in advance!
