Bambi's Emergency Surgery Expense Recovery Fund

Last week, our world turned upside down when our precious pup Bambi suddenly became critically ill. What started as a normal week quickly became every pet parent's worst nightmare.

Bambi's Story:

Bambi is the sweetest little whimsical fairytale creature and has been in our family since she was a little baby. We have been together my entire adult life. She just celebrated her 12th Birthday on 6.14. She has always brought comfort and joy to us and is very bonded with my two young daughters. Anyone who's ever met her knows how sweet and loving she is.

Last week, Bambi started showing signs of pain and stomach issues last week, became lethargic and stopped eating. I brought her to VERG and they diagnosed a life-threatening blockage in her small intestine that required immediate emergency surgery. Without this procedure, we would have lost her. The veterinary team worked to save her life, and thankfully, the operation was successful and she's now recovering and back home with us where she belongs.

The Reality We're Facing:

The emergency surgery cost us $9,300 - an amount we never could have anticipated or prepared for. We didn't hesitate to approve the surgery because you simply can't put a price on family, and Bambi is absolutely family to us. However, we had to take out a high-fee payment plan loan that's creating a significant financial burden for our household.

I'm not someone that asks for help easily, actually I'm usually the one donating to these causes... but the weight of this unexpected expense is overwhelming. Every dollar donated will go directly toward paying down this medical debt and ensuring we can continue providing Bambi with the follow-up care she needs.

Any amount - even the smallest amount - brings us closer to our goal and will help repay the loan.

Bambi is more than just a pet - she's our daughters' best friend, our whole family's source of daily joy, and an irreplaceable member of our pack. Your kindness and generosity during this difficult time means everything to us.
