Bambi's medical costs

I'm Bambi, a performing artist, queer and disabled sole parent to two beautiful humans.

I am a "survivor" (I use the term loosely) of domestic violence, early childhood sexual assault, sexual assault, and domestic abuse. Who, like many others have horrific medical trauma, oft due to deeply entrenched systemic sexism. Sadly, my story is not a unique one, as our system let's down people in need time and time again.

I am reaching out for community financial support to cover essential medical costs for assessments and treatment hopefully leading to recovery. I've been on a journey of healing and growth for some time now, and I'm grateful and proud of the progress I've made from years of therapy and work. However, I've reached a point where I need some essential support to continue moving forward.

I'm from family lines who would be too proud to ask any support, especially financial support. However, we are in a system that let's down it's most vulnerable and I am surrendered to my knees asking community support to help me get back onto my feet in recovery.

My funding goal has increased from $4000 to $6500, $4000 would have partially covered additional assessments. Having unexpectedly but gratefully met that goal I have increased it. The new $6500 will completely cover those assessments and contribute toward specific and ongoing trauma therapy and specialist appointments.
