Bambi was supposed to have a simple, routine spay.

Instead, it turned into something I never could have prepared for.

Since that day, she has undergone five sedated procedures, including four surgeries—each one an attempt to fix complications that just wouldn’t resolve.

What should have been straightforward became a cycle of procedures, recovery, and setbacks.

Most recently, she underwent a surgical debridement with placement of stay sutures and a tie-over bandage, all to finally give her body the chance to heal the way it should have from the beginning.

Through everything, Bambi keeps going.

She still comes to me. She still trusts me. She still shows up every day like she hasn’t been through all of this—and that’s why I’m not giving up on her.

I’ve already spent over $3,000 out of pocket trying to save her. I didn’t hesitate—I would do anything for her.

But now we are facing another $3,000–$4,000 in ongoing medical care, and I can’t carry this alone anymore.

Bambi didn’t ask for complication after complication. She deserves the chance to fully heal and move forward from this.
