Bama Jones’s Road to Recovery

My name is Sandi Riley Workman,

and my sweet sister, Bama Jones (Alisa Jones), was injured while shooting with a group of friends 3/27. The barrel of the black powder loaded rifle she was shooting had a defect and exploded in her hand causing her to lose her thumb and portion of her palm. She underwent a 3 hour emergent surgery at Trident with the trauma team to clean up her hand and stop the bleeding and was transferred to MUSC where she will undergo several surgeries to repair bone, vessels and nerves. She has a long road ahead of her to include skin grafting,

wound care, and rehabilitation. Those of you that know Bama know how much she loves her friends, bartending, and riding her Harley. She never meets a stranger and would give anyone her last dollar if they needed it. Her generosity, compassion, and love for others is undeniable. Please help me ensure that she feels the love from her family and friends as she endures this long journey ahead of her. She needs our love, support and prayers now more than ever.
