Balto, named after the heroic sled dog
from the 1995 movie, came into my life 3 and a half years ago. He's a beautiful and joyful husky who I've lovenly raised since his birth. He's now a gentle giant, but despite his size, he has the soul of a pup. Nothing but happiness and love emanates from him. He will befriend any human or fellow fur buddy. He can be clumsy and reckless, but he will without a doubt always bring a smile to your face.
Today, my Balto was hit by a car and is now in dire need of surgery. He's currently at the Animal hospital  being held  overnight.   The costs associated with his stay and surgery are extremely expensive and the veterinarian informed us that his surgery would be $5,000  alone and must be given upfront.  
Please, I implore anyone who has ever had a best friend in the form of a dog for help. Any contribution can take us that much closer to Balto being able to go on the adventures he loves so much.
