Balseiros Cancer-Free Fund!

Hello. My name is Nikolas Balseiro, and I'm blessed as the only child of Mimi & Richard Balseiro, two AMAZING humans!

Both of these precious beings are now working with stage 4 cancer in both their bodies.

2 years ago my mother Mimi was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, which had spread to bones all over her body by the time doctors discovered it. She's undergone multiple intense surgeries and lifestyle changes, radiation & chemotherapy, all in the name of surviving so she can continue to thrive and live to the fullest.

It has been a very challenging path in supporting her and holding space for all the pain, suffering, and difficult emotions she's experienced. Though it can't compare to the pain Mom has felt in her body, Dad & I have learned how psychologically excruciating it can be to witness a loved one live in such terrible suffering without being able to do anything but witness, hold her, and give her love.

I'm crying as I write this, it's been so heavy. But it's also been so immensely beautiful, for we have reconnected with our Faith in the process, and our greater purpose. When faced with death, it really helps one re-align with why the FUCK we're here in the first place, haha! :)

And then... two weeks ago my father was hospitalized for a chronic cough he had developed over the course of 2 months coming into the new year. Doctors found stage 4 cancer in him, which had metastasized to multiple organs: lung, esophagus, liver, adrenal glands, and some bones. (We are still awaiting biopsy results for pathology/phenotype confirmation).

The weight of this was crushing at first, and frankly, for my parents it still is. However, I was invigorated with a firey sense of purpose. Allow me to expound:

Since my mother's diagnoses in July of 2022, I have been researching HEAVILY into alternative/holistic/naturopathic healing treatments and methods for dealing with cancer and in the process have discovered something phenomenal. Cancer is curable!

I have met many along the path who have helped their parents or have healed through cancer diagnoses themselves, and have exchanged much information. And now I have a list of treatments that I know can help my parents heal from this like it has healed others. However, none of these treatments or modalities are covered by insurance.

Because my parents are both unable to work in the capacity they could before, we are humbly asking you for donations so that they can transcend these diagnoses!

GoFundMe requires a monetary goal amount, so when meditating on how much to ask for, the number $100,000 came to mind. We are not attached to or are expecting any specific amount, whatever we receive we receive fully and gratefully!

Here's how we plan on spending the money:

We understand that allopathic western medicine has helped my parents SO MUCH! We're so grateful for that. This kind of medicine specializes in trauma and emergency, which they needed. However, western medicine does not understand nor does it treat cause of diseases, nor is it knowledgeable in prevention and nutrition. And insurance companies also do not yet understand nor support the value in alternative treatments.

Whatever you bless us with financially will allow my parents to supplement their western medicine regiments with holistic (meaning whole health) regiments :)
