It's October and you know what that means! Bal-oween is back!

If you are new to the Bal-oween party, this is something that I started a few years ago. I've always loved Halloween and my love for the holiday was strengthened during my time at UC Santa Barbara. I decided to bring some of that love for Halloween to Balboa.

Since then, our parties have gotten bigger and better. This is a day for our teens to show their creativity and humor, and to have fun! They love seeing their friends and teachers dressed up. This has become a day of so much fun and laughter and we look forward to it every year!

So where does your money go? Students win cash for winning costume contests! We have prizes for students in costume, trick or treating at my door, lobby decorating, and this year we will be able to have our door decorating contest (pizza party for the winning homeroom!)

Our big Halloween bash is only possible because of YOU! I am always so grateful to our community and friends for giving these kids a day they'll always remember. Some of my students have been asking about our Bal-oween party since school began back in August and I can't wait for them to have another great Halloween.
