The end of 2019 and start of 2020 has been a very difficult one for our family. We noticed on Christmas Day a large mass was forming on Baloo's shoulder. We decided to take him to the vet that weekend to find out what was going on. After lab testing and X-Ray's, we were informed Baloo might have a possible rare cancer. On January 6, 2020, the news we never thought we'd hear this early in his life shattered our hearts. Our precious one-year-old puppy, Baloo, was diagnosed with a terminal illness and only has months left to live. After blood tests were done, we found a very rare form of cells that only affects 1 in every 1 million puppies in his blood. We recently celebrated his first birthday in September 2019 and are heart broken at the idea of knowing we have to say good-bye to him in the short coming months.
We have no idea how long we have with him. We were told we caught the cancer at mid-stage. We are still praying for a miracle and hoping we have more time than what was told to us. However, Baloo's pain is our biggest concern. This form of bone cancer is very aggressive and extremely painful and we are doing our best to make him as comfortable as possible through a combination of medicine and treatments. He's already limping on three legs to avoid using the leg which has the shoulder mass.
The $3,500 will solely cover the lab tests we've had done, his monthly treatments for a few more months, and combination of medications we have to purchase every two weeks. Anything over the $3,500 will go towards giving Baloo the best last days of his life we could possibly give him.
If you are unable to donate, would you please share it to all you friends and family? Baloo is the sweetest, most loving dog you'd ever meet. He's not just a dog to us, he's part of our family. He's our heart. Everyone who has met him knows just how happy and kind he is. He doesn't deserve to be put in this situation. Please, if you could help us in anyway, we would be forever grateful.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Love,
The Nainggolan Family
