Flash floods and mudslides caused by abnormally excessive monsoon rains have wreaked havoc in South Asia. The provinces of Balochistan and Sindh in Pakistan are among the worst hit areas due to lack of critical infrastructure and facilities.
Social workers on ground report much larger number of casualties, injuries, missing individuals, and houses/buildings destroyed than the conservative estimates reported by the media. The casualties likely run in the thousands, with several hundred thousand houses and buildings damaged or destroyed.
We are supporting our extended circle of friends mostly located in Karachi who have travelled to Sindh and Balochistan to coordinate relief efforts in Quetta, Nushki (Qadirabad, Khisar, etc.), Lasbela (Lohi) and Larkana districts.
Your support would ensure the flood victims receive vital supplies and care as needed. We will post more details as information reaches us from volunteers on ground.
