Dear friends, On March 18th, we had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close Balo Kitchen in response to the global health crisis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Our commitment to employee and guest safety meant that we could no longer open to the community we’ve served for the past 3 years. While our small business struggles to survive this pandemic, with hope to re-open when this storm passes, our priority right now is the well-being of our team members who are struggling without a source of income. They do not qualify for unemployment and most have extended families to support. We humbly ask our community, friends, families and supporters for a donation that will go towards easing their financial burden during these challenging times. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Balo Kitchen team members who put all their passion and devotion into our small business. We want to help our employees and their families during this difficult time as the reopening remains uncertain. This is a moment of unimaginable challenges for our restaurant industry and no doubt our entire country.
