"Baller" is a short drama about a former professional footballer who projects his unfulfilled dreams onto his ten-year-old daughter - until he realises her happiness matters more than his legacy.

The film explores the exploitation and pressure that children frequently receive from their parents, often trying to live their ideal lives through their offspring. More specifically, there is a growing issue in football where children are being scouted at a younger age than ever. This can create a toxic family environment where parents can forget the true meaning of having children, and prioritise forcing success on to them.

For this project, we have an outstandingly ambitious crew, made up of Film production students at the University of Gloucestershire, and we are all hoping to create this film and spread such a positive message to the best of our abilities. Any money raised will be used exclusively on the project, supplying us better equipment, locations, and actors.
