A few days ago the Ballard family— Jeremy and Sarah, along with their two kids, June (Ray) (13) and Louis (10) came home from Christmas celebrations to find their house engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed most of their home; essentials such as clothing, furniture, appliances and medicine, as well as all of their children’s belongings and troves of memorabilia. Both artists, Jeremy and Sarah lost their art studios and life-long collections of art objects and antiques.

Basically, everything that constitutes a home has been lost. The Ballard family has also been dealing with complex issues around progressive auto immune disease. Their creative and ergonomic home had been a real bedrock for them.

Sarah, Jeremy, and their children June (Ray) ( 13) and Louis (10) expect to be displaced for at least 6 months. Donations will go towards temporary housing costs and replacing their basic belongings.
