Jimmy Ballard Cancer Fund

Many of you know Jimmy Ballard, my good friend and Burnet County Precinct 3 Constable.  Jimmy has been a law enforcement officer and public servant for over 30 years.  He has also been a constant volunteer in our community.  He's helped raise money for so many other people and good causes over the years, and has volunteered countless hours.  He's always been there to lend a helping hand to friends and strangers and expected nothing in return.  It's time for us to give back as Jimmy now needs our help.

Jimmy went in to the doctor recently to have a kidney issue diagnosed.  A CT scan was done and a tumor was found on one kidney.  Surgery was performed and the doctor ended up removing the entire kidney and several lymphnodes.  Jimmy has now been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma.  The doctor has told Jimmy that he has months to live.  Jimmy is a fighter and he's not giving up, but cancer treatment is very expensive and medical bills are piling up fast.

I'm calling on all of you to search your hearts and think about what you can donate.  Jimmy and Linda are the sweetest people and they really need our help.  Any amount helps.  Instead of going out to eat, consider donating that money to help a man that has been a friend and servant to many.  Together, we can make a difference.
