Funds for the Walls

Donation protected
Have you ever had a major house disaster that could not be avoided? Did you shell out everything in your savings to get it fixed? Did your insurance company take forever to give you aid for repairs? Well if you have, I hope that you can empathize with our situation. If no major disasters to your house has ever befallen you, then you are in good fortune and I hope you won't ever have to deal with one as such.
About nearly four months ago while heading out to work I noticed that there was a loud dripping sound coming from under our double wide trailer in which me and my fiancée and roommate live in. Upon further inspection I noticed that there was a significant portion of the underbelly of the trailer that had fallen out. So I did what anyone would do. I called a plumber.
The news was grim. Our water heater (which was pretty old) had sprung a leak and had proliferated water all in one specific area of our trailer. Both the walls and floors were utterly soaked through. We were informed that we would need to pay to replace only the water heater and that the rest of the repairs would fall to our home owners insurance.
We got the new water heater put in and then we filed our claim to the insurance company. After an inspector came in and gave us an estimate the insurance paid out. Unfortunately they only paid out enough for the water mitigation company to come in and tear out our walls to dry the area. So over the course of a week they had machines running to dry out the area which they did very well.
Enter the real problem. Now we had to get a contractor to put our walls back in. Unfortunately the claim check we received was not nearly enough to cover the cost. So we sent the appropriate documents to our insurance once more. For nearly three months they sat on it. Finally I had to resort to calling them everyday to get them to remember that we still existed, it was getting colder, and we needed our walls put back in.
Finally our claims adjuster got back to us and low-and-behold it was still not going to be enough. About $3,000 dollars short. Every bank I went to for a loan would not let me have a payback period of over five years (which is what was needed in order for us to make the bills and end up with mostly $0.00 in our bank account for each month) for the next five years.
So why am I asking for $3,500? well first off I know crowd-funding sites take a chunk of what is donated so that is what's needed to cover for what will be taken out. It is also, so that we have enough to cover for the thank you reward tiers me and my fiancée plan to distribute. I know everyone is having a tough time but we are literally at our red-line with what we will pay to get our walls put back in.
We only seek help and this is our last ditch desperation attempt to have some semblance of normality back in our humble little home. (Below is pictures currently of what our trailer looks like.)

The people benefiting from this will be me, my fiancée our roommate and the cats. Nobody has any privacy in the master bathroom if they need to go into the pantry or the washroom. The funds will strictly be used to put our walls back in and to have the underbelly of the trailer fixed as well as some of the flooring and tiles.
As far as a time frame goes we need the funds within a month before it starts getting very cold. We know that a higher energy bill is on the way and both me and my fiancée have been working overtime in preparation for the increased bills. I would be eternally thankful and grateful to all who donate to our cause. I have already in the past donated to some worthy causes on crowd-funding sites myself.

While of course we thank you there is one last thanks you that comes from our house hold.

Our cat Topaz. She has been unable to wander into the bathroom without supervision since she can wander right through into another room and even into the crack between exposed walls. She would really like her bathroom play area back and she sat tolerantly posed for this picture.

Once again, if you wander by this funding page and donate we would be forever grateful for your help.

Sincerely,
Lance Yoshioka
