Balgreen Tunnel Project, Edinburgh

A group of local Balgreen residents are trying to improve the pedestrian tunnel which runs under the railway track and the tram track, crossing Balgreen Road. The aim is to create a colourful community mural in the tunnel and brighten up this busy route to Balgreen Primary School, local bus stops and shops.We have been given a small donation which is enough to start the project at each end of the tunnel but we need to find more money to complete the project. We hope when people see the difference that the colourful artwork makes, they will donate to help complete the job. To start the project we are using ideas drawn by local children but anyone who donates can come up with suggestions of what they would like to see as the mural progresses.
