El proyecto con nuestra escuela hermana en Haití se comenzó hace 2 años en la comunidad Nan Payol, donde se logró construir una escuela, gracias a los fondos que se recolectaron de diversas formas. El proximo objetivo del proyecto será construir una cafetería que tendrá uso para los estudiantes , asi como para toda la comunidad. Esta cafetería se edificará y nombrará en honor a Ana Paulina Oliveras.
My name is Mariola Busquets, I am an upcoming senior at Baldwin School. I live in Puerto Rico, a small island that crowns the Carribean. Two years ago, two members of the Baldwin School community successfully started a project to build a school in the Nan Payol coummunity in Haiti. Haiti is Puerto Rico's neighboor, and is currently experiencing many economic hardships. In an attempt to adress these, my objective is to continue the relationship with this sister school. Our next objective is to build a cafeteria for the use of the students and their community. This cafeteria will be dedicated to the late Ana Paulina Oliveras, who began this project. In July, a group of wonderful people will accompany me to visit Nan Payol. We will be sending funds prior to our arrival, as well as delivering them ourselves.
