Cancer is a disease that many of us know all too well. Whether it’s a family member, a childhood friend, or a neighbor, it seems like almost everyone knows someone who has faced this terrible disease. Things do not need to be this way, and I have decided to stand up to make a difference. I’m excited to be participating in CRANES’ Bald for a Cause fundraiser, where I will be shaving my head to raise money for cancer research.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be running a fundraising campaign, and on April 19th, I’ll shave my head as a visible act of solidarity with the individuals and families affected by cancer. Over the years, incredible progress has been made in cancer treatment, progress that has personally meant a great deal to me, as it helped save the life of one of my close friends. But there is still a long way to go. Every breakthrough in cancer treatment begins with research, which is why it’s so important that we continue supporting the work that leads to better treatments and, ultimately, cures.

All funds raised through this page will be donated directly to the Wilmot Cancer Institute at the University of Rochester. Wilmot is a leading cancer research and treatment center, advancing new therapies and providing care to patients across New York and beyond. Donations help support the scientists, clinicians, and programs working every day to better understand cancer and improve the lives of those affected by it.
