Hi All,
On 28th September, a team of 12 runners (of mixed ability) from our Finance team will be taking on the Robin Hood Half Marathon in Nottingham – pushing ourselves to go the distance for two great causes: The National Autistic Society and Alzheimer’s Society.
We’re not just running for the challenge (although that’s definitely part of it!) – we’re running to raise awareness, support, and funds for these two vital charities, whose work impacts millions of lives across the UK.
About The National Autistic Society:
The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for autistic people and their families. They provide life-changing support, information, and guidance to autistic individuals while campaigning for a society that works for everyone. Their work includes:
Running specialist schools and adult services
Providing advice lines and online resources
Promoting understanding and acceptance of autism
Campaigning for better support in education, healthcare, and employment
With over 700,000 autistic people in the UK, their work helps break down barriers and build brighter futures every day.
About Alzheimer’s Society:
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity, working tirelessly to help those living with dementia and their families. Their mission is to ensure that no one has to face dementia alone. They offer:
Critical support services for people living with dementia and carers
Research funding to find a cure and improve care
Public campaigns to improve awareness and influence policy change
With over 900,000 people in the UK currently living with dementia – a number expected to rise – the work of Alzheimer’s Society has never been more important.
How You Can Help:
We’re training hard, putting in the miles, and giving this challenge everything we’ve got – but we need your help to reach our fundraising goal. Any donation, big or small, will go directly to support these charities and make a real difference. With the funds being split between the two causes.
Please donate if you can, share our story, and cheer us on as we take on this challenge together.
Thank you so much for your support!
