DC Sweet Potato Cake is our retail/manufacturing bakery in Baltimore City. We are one of a few woman-owned and black-owned manufacturing companies in the US. Today our bakery facility was burglarized and ransacked, one week before our busiest time of the year. Our products are found in Starbucks, Wegmans, Nordstrom, on QVC, and in so many moms and pops in the DMV. Due to the destruction, we must close our retail bakery doors for repair. We have to replace many things like our bakery cases, front windows, registers and more importantly our confidence. No one deserves to be violated. You can help us by volunteering your time to help us get out products or donate a few bucks so that we can open by next week and in time for the holidays. Yes, we have insurance but who knows how long that will take...so we will allow the community that we have helped over the years to help us.
