On April 19th 2020 I will take the first step to realizing my Rally Racing dreams. That Sunday I will line up to compete in the NORRA Mexican 1000, a 5-day 1000-mile Enduro Race across Baja California. Despite being called "The Happiest Race On Earth!", the Mexican 1000 is one of the toughest and longest GPS-guided races in North America. It will be my first major desert rally and an unprecedented mental and physical challenge.
Rally racing is treacherous, grueling and expensive. In addition to a fully-prepped race bike, a huge bin of spare parts, tires, filters and fluids, a chase vehicle and crew will be needed to support my team along the race. Each of the 5 race stages will take 5-8 hours to complete. After each day we will have to fix and service the bikes in order to tackle the following day's course. If extensive repairs are required, or if we lose time along the +300km daily route, we'll have to get by on minimal sleep before lining up to do it all again the next day. Sounds fun, right?
Here's a look at the 2017 edition of the event:
Your support will help fund race entry fees, bike transport, spare parts and support vehicle costs as well as to document my experience in a YouTube documentary feature. YES, there's a documentary coming so it's a good thing I'm not camera shy!
Contributions to this goal are appreciated in any amount. Contributors of $75 or above will receive a complimentary Race Team shirt (I will contact you for your size and shipping details). Contributors of $150 or above will also be featured on my race graphics as a show of appreciation of your support.
Every contributor will receive a signed photo from the race, showing you supported the project.
If you would like to sponsor or support this effort in another way, please get in touch with me directly (if you're reading this, you likely know me already)!
Thank you for your support, encouragement and consideration. I hope sharing my dream with you will also encourage you to pursue whatever fuels your passions.

Thank you,
Dmitry
