On October 17, my son, Christofer Saenzpardo, and I will take on one of the most meaningful challenges of our lives: the Baja Epic Race in Baja California.

This race is not just about endurance, speed, or competition. It’s about time—time spent training together, pushing through fatigue, encouraging each other when things get hard, and building a bond that goes far beyond the bike. As a father, racing alongside my son is a gift I don’t take lightly. These are moments that won’t come back, and this journey has already become one of our most cherished experiences.

Throughout our training, Christofer and I have learned powerful lessons about discipline, perseverance, and showing up even when it’s uncomfortable. Standing together at the start line—and hopefully crossing the finish line together—would be a moment we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.
