Hi! My name is Pepe (aka Prancy Pants) and I am 2 years old. I am basically a beautiful mutt. I was born in Mexico and was abandoned when I was a tiny baby and almost starved to death. I was found by some people and moved to the United States. They nursed me back to health. The people who saved me couldn’t keep me but I was adopted by a young man named Kevin. He brought me to my new home in Paradise Cove. Now I live with Kevin and his grandma and grandpa. Despite my traumatic beginning, I am the happiest doggie and I absolutely love life and everyone and every animal and everything!!
A few months ago, before my 2nd birthday, my people noticed a little lump on my leg. Didn’t think much of it…thought it was a lipoma (fatty tumor). It started growing a little bigger every week and then day by day. I got really tired and didn’t want to do much. My people got the soonest appointment but made an emergency appointment to get a biopsy. It turned out to be an extremely aggressive form of round cell cancer and on August 23, 2023 (a week after my second birthday) I became a tripod. The vet had to take my leg off above my hip. It happened so fast and because I am so young, there was no other option. Needless to say, it was very costly and unexpected on top of it being an emotional whirlwind. So far, they have spent around $16K and I can tell my people are really stressing out because there are still many more cancer doctor appointments I have to go to and will be starting treatments soon.
If anyone could/would please donate ANYTHING to help...we would all be forever grateful! Even sharing this link would me the world to us! Thank you so much!
