The Camp Fire has destroyed the town of Paradise, California. Unfortunately, it has also claimed the homes of my Aunt & Uncle, Stephen & Linda Baird, as well as my Grandmother's home, Evangelina Johnson. Our hearts are absolutely broken for them and we want to help in any way that we can. They are both starting over, completely. The fire moved so fast that by the time they received an evacuation order, it was also the first they had even heard that there was a fire. They got out in their pajamas and nothing else. Others weren't so lucky and we have been praying for them. The community is devastated. This is our way of trying to help them get back on their feet. In the coming days, weeks, and months, they will be starting with basics. Clothes, a cell phone, toiletries, etc. as they begin building their lives again. We know that some of you have asked how you can help and this is a way you can do just that. Please keep our family in your prayers, this is nothing we have ever experienced before and the road is going to be long and difficult. But, together, hopefully we can give them some comfort in knowing that they are loved and that their community reaches so much further than our beloved Paradise.
