Hi, my name is Chelsae. I have 2 dogs. They are my world. One is a female staffie and the other is a male xl bully who just broke his leg today (26 dec 2025). I had him out today at a private field so he can run about and have fun without his lead and muzzle. He was jumping for a stick I was holding and he's landed badly on his back leg. The vet has said it is broken and I'm looking at worse case needing to pay around £4000. At the moment hes in the vet hospital over night and that is costing £500-£1000 on top of the operation. I am hoping its not as bad as they think so my baby will have less healing time and its less pain for him if he does not need plates ect put in to hold his leg together. I am heartbroken and I feel like a terrible not having these kinds of funds to pay for an emergency like this. XL BULLY Insurance is not easy to get. Baillie is the most lovely dog with the best nature. The 2 amazing people who came and helped me take him to the vet said hes a brilliant dog. Hes never met them and he was in a lot of pain and he was still wagging his tale happy to see them. If everyone could even spare £1 it all adds up and i know its just been Christmas but I wouldn't be asking for help if it wasn't an emergency. Please help me save my dogs leg and get him the operation and treatment he needs. The vet says it's cheaper to remove his leg. I don't want to do that he's too big he wont cope with just 3 legs. I rescued Baillie during the ban. Hes exempt, i have the 3rd party insurance, hes muzzled and leaded in public places. Thats why I take him to the field. Him and Nia my other dogs arr my world. They both mean so much to me. I've had nia since I was 18, shes 14 now and Baillie i rescued during the ban after my male staffie dying. I got Baillie to save his life, because I love the breed, Nia missed Neeko so much she needed a pal too. Also in my life I've been through a ot and Baillie makes me feel safe. My dogs are like my therapy dog's. I will show proof of vet bills and receipts from them being paid. I will post the estimates on here as soon as I get them so yous can see as I know I'm going to need to update the target when i get the estimates.
