Bailey's Healing Journey: Please Lend a Hand

Hello, my name is Shannon. I'm Bailey's owner, aka Chicken Nugget. Earlier today, he was hit by car on our street. He was in his jacket harness which he pulled and the jacket broke he got out of the harness and ran into the street. We rushed him to the emergency vet. He is undergoing a surgery right now. So far we know he has multiple broken bones some lung bruising and damage which they are also doing a tap on his lungs. If you know of bailey you know he is the most loving and energetic dog. He loves to go on walks, get belly rubs and eat his favorite treats. Please pray for his recovery. He is in surgery now.

A background story my mom and rocco rescued Luna, Luna was abandoned by being thrown out of a vehicle. She turned into a loving friendly dog who needed a friend/sibling. Hence we took Luna to pick out her newest best friend Bailey. They are so amazing together and Bailey has helped Luna be brave and reduce some of her anxiety. Luna unfortunately was also on the walk when Bailey got loose. She saw him get hit and didn’t take her eyes off of him until we got him into the hospital. Even at the hospital she was freezing because she didn’t want to leave him. Please pray for both Luna and Bailey during this difficult time. It’ll be a long recovery.
