Bailey’s gender affirming breast augmentation fund

Hello everyone! My name is Bailey but some of you might know me as Bliss. I am a queer, trans woman living in so called Vancouver, Canada. I work full time as a multidisciplinary artist, performing in drag as well as illustrating and designing/making stage wear for other performers. My goal in my work is to create safe spaces for queer and trans folks and to empower everyone to feel comfortable and powerful in their own skin.

I’m beyond elated to share that I recently got the news that I am going to be getting breast augmentation and I am starting this gofundme to ask for your help with making this dream a reality! I started my medical transition nearly 7 years ago and it has truly saved my life. I am beyond grateful for my incredible family, amazing chosen family and the beautiful community that has supported me throughout my journey. Without your help and encouragement I would not have blossomed into the woman that I am today and for that I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I have been working hard at my three jobs to save up for this gender affirming care but I definitely need your help to make it happen. Anything raised with this fundraiser will help with the cost of surgery and the additional medical expenses. The cost of the breast augmentation procedure is $9000 with additional costs for medication and care. I will also need to take up to 6 weeks off of work as all my jobs require physical labour and I need to prioritize recovering. Getting a breast augmentation has been a goal of mine for a long time and I’m so fortunate that I have this opportunity to further align my body with my gender identity.
